I am Nayani Ilangakoon, a passionate human being who loves how nature works.
I am currently a Research Scientist studying how wildfires reshape ecosystems, with a particular focus on whether these changes are permanent, semi-permanent, or whether ecosystems ultimately recover with little lasting change. I was born and raised in Sri Lanka, a beautiful tropical island in the Indian Ocean, and my connection to diverse natural landscapes has strongly influenced my interest in understanding environmental change.
